What AI SDK Agents is good at
- Coverage of the agent moments and the screens around them: chat, approvals, runs, evals, notifications, onboarding, team, billing, API keys and logs.
- Full-stack blocks: each comes with its React components, API routes and tool definitions, and many export as Hono or Nitro servers.
- A 30-day money-back guarantee and a Team license for 10 seats.
- Agent setup: the shadcn MCP server with a registry token, installable skills and a copy for coding agents.
What PixilUI adds
- No SDK assumption: items take plain props, so the same approval card works with the AI SDK, LangGraph, the OpenAI Agents SDK or your own stream.
- Agent items whose pages list every state, key and reduced-motion behavior.
- Two design styles, quiet and lively, from one token set.
- Free items under MIT that install with no account.

They can share an app on the AI SDK: AI SDK Agents for blocks that need their own routes, PixilUI for the moments where the agent asks or works. Keep one library per surface so their tokens do not mix.
Questions
AI SDK Agents or PixilUI?
AI SDK Agents if your app runs on the Vercel AI SDK and you want components, API routes and whole workspace screens (members, billing, evals) from one purchase. PixilUI if you want agent items that take plain props, whatever runs the model, with each item's states and keys on its page.
Do I need the Vercel AI SDK for either?
AI SDK Agents is written for it: its components map to AI SDK parts and calls. PixilUI items take plain props (text, status, steps, callbacks), so they work with the AI SDK, another SDK or your own stream.
Can they share a project?
Yes. Both install with the shadcn CLI. AI SDK Agents builds on shadcn/ui tokens and PixilUI reads its own tokens from foundation.css, so keep one library per surface.
